Jennifer Sloan

Jennifer is a PhD student in Sociology at the Graduate Center.  Her interests are in education, race and ethnicity, migration, comparative research, and quantitative methods.  She is studying the trajectories of immigrant origin and native minority students through the educational system and labor market in the United States and Europe.  Her work focuses on how educational and occupational aspirations are shaped by social context and family background.
