The GC Immigration Working Group is a student-led group based at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). Graduate students established this working group in 2009 to bring resources from the CUNY system and City of New York together and to provide a space for students, faculty, and other immigration researchers to collaborate and support each other. There are currently 18 graduate student leaders who are active in the group.
As the group has grown, they’ve started effective communication and information-sharing tools including a widely use listserv, website, discussion group, calendar, and several blogs. In addition to highlighting relevant events, research projects, and people at the Graduate Center, their website serves as a “portal” or gateway to numerous other sources of information for immigration data, research centers, etc. Find more information at http://www.gc-immigration.org/home
